Migration
Move your notes from another app into Binderus. Each guide below is end-to-end — export, convert, import, verify.
From Notion
Export Notion to Markdown + CSV, fix block-style differences, re-establish links.
From Obsidian
Almost zero migration — both use plain Markdown. Just point Binderus at your existing vault.
From Bear
Export Bear to Markdown, relocate images, decide on folders vs tag-only.
From Apple Notes
The trickiest — Apple Notes has no clean Markdown export. Recommended tools and workflow.
General tips that apply to any migration
- Migrate a small batch first. Pick 10-20 notes and run the full pipeline before touching the rest. Catches edge cases early.
- Preserve the source. Don't delete the source app's data until you've used Binderus for a week and confirmed nothing's missing.
- Plan your folder structure. A flat dump of 1000 notes is hard to navigate. Group by project / area / status before importing if you can.
- Re-establish links last. Markdown links between notes break when files move. Easier to fix all at once with a search-and-replace pass after the import.
